Originally chartered in 1958, First Federal Bank is proud to say we’re the oldest locally owned financial institution in Harnett County. First Federal opened its doors for business in Dunn, North Carolina, on January 20, 1959. The bank now has additional branches in Angier, Erwin, Benson, Fuquay-Varina, and Clayton. In April 2003, we officially changed our name to First Federal Bank, reflecting our transition from a traditional thrift that provided mortgage loans and time deposits, to a full-service community bank.
Today, we’re proud to say that we’re dedicated and able to meet the unique needs of the communities that we serve. At the heart of everything, our founding mission remains:
“To serve our communities’ financial needs by developing and implementing products and programs that fulfill those needs; by providing the highest level of customer service in terms of efficiency, courtesy, and professional conduct; and by maintaining a sound, profitable, progressive institution that strives to be a responsible employer and good corporate citizen.”
First Federal Bank is the community bank that helps its customers and communities prosper by meeting financial needs with personalized care and responsible stewardship.
